Sudhir Choudhrie’s Endurance and Dedication to Philanthropy

Sudhir Choudhrie is the Founder and Director of the establishment Magnum International Trading Company Ltd. He created this firm in 1975, and it marked the commencement of his entrepreneurship journey. As of 1995, Mr. Choudhrie had served at Taj Hotels and Resorts and the Adidas Ag. Sudhir created Taj Kerala, an establishment with four resorts across the Indian land. These local resorts gained popularity to the level that they attracted tourists. He also established a branch of Adidas in India, the Adidas Indian Trading, which grew to have over 180 stores countrywide. Choudhrie also served as a non-Executive Director at Ebookers from 1999 to 2002. In 2003, he invested in the Indian airline called Air Deccan.

Sudhir Choudhrie is a representative of WPO and YPO networks. He is an active philanthrope and has positively impacted the lives of people around him through his humanitarian acts. Sudhir is known globally for supporting patients who need transplants by promoting the donation of organs, considering that he has a health condition. He has ventured into Columbia Medical Centre’s Cardiology Professorship.

Mr. Sudhir is considered one of the longest survivors of those who have had a heart transplant. The 71-year-old philanthropist and entrepreneur has stayed for over 22 years after the operation back in 2010. After his transplant, Choudhrie, together with his family, founded an organ donating institution. This establishment supports health education and medical projects in the UK, the US, and many other countries. It plans to save over 500 000 lives from 62 500 organs, which it expects to receive as donations.

Sudhir  is also a university scholar. He graduated with an honorary degree from Oxford University. Sudhir Choudhrie supports this College in setting up the yearly Emerging Markets Symposium. He also belongs to the Vice-Chancellor’s Group of this University.
